Privacy Policy

Plain English: what 4 Local Online Advertising LLC keeps when you call, email or fill out one of our forms, and what we do with it.

  • ✓ Our forms never ask for passwords or card numbers
  • ✓ We don't sell your information
  • ✓ Questions? Call 502-727-2010 or email [email protected]

The short version

  • A few pages have a short form: the free Google checkup, the contractor listing check and the call-back request. They ask for things like your name, business, town, phone and email, so we can do what you asked.
  • If you call, email or fill out a form, we get what you tell us, and we use it to talk with you.
  • If you fill out a form, we may follow up by phone or email about what you asked for. Tell us to stop and we will.
  • We don't sell your information and we don't share it for other companies' marketing.
  • To ask what we have about you, or to have it deleted, call or email.

The rest of this page fills in the details. It's written for business owners, not lawyers, so it says what we do in ordinary words.

What we mean by personal information

Anything that points to you: your name, your phone number, your email address, the name of your business and what you tell us about it. We don't need more than that to talk with you.

We don't ask for things like your date of birth, a government ID number or a card number, and we'd rather you didn't send them. None of our forms has a box for them.

This website

This is the site of 4 Local Online Advertising LLC, which works with businesses in the Louisville area. Most of it is just for reading. A few pages have a short form: the free Google checkup, the contractor listing check and the call-back request. You don't need an account to read the site or to fill out a form.

Records kept by the site host

This site is built and hosted on a commercial website service. Like most hosts, it may keep basic technical records of visits, under its own privacy policy. Those records can include things like your IP address and the kind of browser you use, and the host may use cookies to run the site.

Visit statistics

The host also runs Matomo, a web analytics tool, on these pages. It counts visits: which pages get opened, what kind of device and browser was used, roughly what part of the world the visit came from, and which site or search sent you here. Those numbers are collected by the host on its own Matomo server.

Cloudflare sits between your browser and this site. It delivers the pages and filters out attacks, so it handles your IP address and browser details along the way. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views on the site. Cloudflare says that tool doesn't use cookies.

We don't use any of this to look you up or contact you. A browser privacy setting or a blocker extension can stop the statistics, and the site will still read fine.

Cookies

We don't set tracking cookies of our own on this site. Cookies the host, the forms or the booking calendar use to keep things running are their business, and their policies cover them. Your browser lets you block or clear cookies if you'd like to. The site should still read fine.

When you call

We see your phone number. We also hear what you tell us, which may include your name, your business and what you want help with. Your phone company keeps its own records of the call, under its own rules.

The call button on this site just opens your phone's dialer. Nothing about you is sent to us when you tap it. The call itself is between your phone and ours.

We may jot down notes while we talk, such as your business name, the town you work in and what you asked for, so we can call you back and pick up where we left off.

When you email

If you write to [email protected], we get your email address and whatever you put in the message. Your email provider and ours handle the message on its way. Send only what you're comfortable sending. A business name and a phone number is plenty.

Please don't email passwords, account logins, card numbers or anything else sensitive. If we ever need access to one of your accounts, we'll talk about how to do that on the phone first.

When you fill out a form

Each form asks for what we need to do the job you asked for. Depending on the form, that's your name, your business name (and the name you show under on Google, if it's different), the town or towns you work in, your main service or trade, your website, your phone, your email, the best time to reach you and who sent you our way. The contractor form also asks what happens when you miss a call, and the call-back form asks what you want to cover. Anything you type in a box, we get.

If you got to the form from a link we sent, the form may also note which link it was. That tells us which flyers and emails actually work. It isn't used to look you up anywhere else.

What you send goes into our contact list, kept by the company that hosts this site and runs our forms, and Tony gets an email saying you filled it out. We use it to put together your checkup, call you back, or answer your question, including questions about the Google Profile Starter. We may follow up by phone or email about what you asked for. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we'll stop.

The forms have a spam check to keep robots out. If it's the kind where you tick a box, the company that runs it (usually Google) sees basic details about your browser, under its own privacy policy.

Please don't type passwords, account logins or card numbers into a form. None of our forms ask for them. If we ever need access to an account, we'll sort that out on the phone.

When you book a call

If you pick a time on our booking calendar, the booking tool keeps your name, business, town, phone, email, the time you picked and what you want to cover, and it puts the call on Tony's calendar. Tony calls you at that time. If you need to change it, call or email.

What we collect, in one place

  • From a call: your phone number, what you tell us, and any notes we take.
  • From an email: your email address, the message, and anything you attach.
  • From a form: what you type in it, the page you sent it from, and which of our links brought you there, if one did.
  • From the booking calendar: your details, the time you picked and what you want to cover.
  • From just reading this website: nothing from us directly. The site host may keep ordinary server records and visit statistics, and Cloudflare counts page views, as described above.

That's the list.

How we use it

To make the checkup you asked for, call you back, answer your questions and, if you hire us, do the work and keep our own records. We keep it as long as we need it for that.

We don't use what you tell us on a call, in an email or in a form to market someone else's product to you. If you ask us not to contact you again, tell us and we'll stop.

How long we keep it

We don't have a fixed number of days. We keep a note, an email or a form entry for as long as it's useful for the reasons above, or as long as we need it for our own business records or the law. After that, we delete it or stop using it.

Records kept by your phone company, your email provider or the site host follow their own schedules, and we don't control those. Form entries and bookings sit in our own contact list, and we delete them when you ask or once we no longer need them.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information and we don't share it for other companies' marketing. We may share it if the law requires.

Ordinary services sit between you and us: your phone company, the email provider, the company that hosts this site and stores what you send through our forms and booking calendar, and Cloudflare, which delivers the pages. They handle information as part of running those services, under their own privacy policies.

If you hire us

We may need to work inside accounts like your website or your Google Business Profile. That happens with the access you give us, and you decide what that access is. We use it for the work you asked for.

If you hire us: information about your own customers

Working on a Google Business Profile or a website can put us in front of information about people other than you. Reviews carry the names customers post under. A site you own may have a phone number or an email address on it. A listing may show calls or direction requests.

We use that only for the work you asked us to do. We don't copy your customers' details for our own purposes, and we don't contact your customers on our own account. If you give us something sensitive by mistake, tell us and we'll set it aside.

If you contact us for someone else's business

Office managers, partners and relatives call on behalf of a business all the time. That's fine. We treat what you tell us the same way: it's used to talk with the person it's about and to do the work, and it isn't sold or passed around for marketing.

If you're giving us someone else's phone number or email address so we can reach them, check that they're okay with it first. And if you're the one who got a call or email from us and you're not sure why, tell us and we'll explain, or take you off our list of people to contact.

Keeping it safe

We keep what you tell us to ourselves and use ordinary care with it. No website, phone line or email system is perfectly secure, so don't send anything sensitive, like financial or account details, by email or through a form.

If you ever think something went wrong on our side, such as an email sent to the wrong place, call or write and tell us right away.

Your choices

To ask us what we have about you, or to have it deleted, call 502-727-2010 or email [email protected]. See also how to contact us.

You can also decline to give us anything beyond what you're comfortable with. You can call without giving your name. You can ask us not to call or email you again. And you can use your browser's settings to block or clear cookies.

When you ask, tell us your name, your business and the phone number or email you used (and which form, if you filled one out), so we can find what you mean. We'll answer by phone or email, whichever you used to ask. If something we have about you is wrong, tell us and we'll correct it. We may need to confirm it's really you before we change or delete anything, and we may keep what we're required to keep.

Words used on this page

IP address

A number your internet connection uses to talk to websites. Every visit to every site involves one.

Server records

Logs a website host may keep of visits: when a page was requested, from which IP address, with which browser. They're how a host spots trouble and keeps the site running.

Cookie

A small file a website can ask your browser to store. Some keep a site working. Others are used to recognize you from one visit to the next. We don't set tracking cookies of our own here.

Dialer

The phone app on your device. When you tap a call button on a page like this one, your phone opens its dialer with our number filled in, and you choose whether to place the call.

Links to other sites

If a page here ever links to another website, that site has its own privacy policy and we don't control it. The same goes for Google, map apps and review sites. If you leave a review, post on one of those platforms or reply to something there, their rules apply, not ours.

Children

This site is for business owners. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. When we do, the new version replaces this one on the same address. If you have questions about it, call or email.
